Day Eleven Pictures - Busch Gardens
As the boys hit the first roller coaster of the day,
Then we wandered into a bird show
*grin*
As noted in the tale, the "boys" hit a BUNCH of roller coasters -
Like "The Python"
And in case you think they really didn't go on it:
We got to see a lot of birds while we waited for the guys
Like black swans
And flamingoes
And a golden eagle or two
Ostriches
Parrots
And a peacock "strutting his stuff"
There was even a spoonbill
About half-way into the afternoon, the guys joined us for a dolphin show
It began with an announcer - and a sea lion
The dolphins came out to play ball
Leap over high ropes
Do synchronized swimming
And wave goodbye
The guys went off onto Montu at one point
But as the afternoon wore on, everyone seemed to be sleeping
And Siberian
To the komodo dragon
And even the orangutans
There was one animal that caught our eye, but we never caught it's name
(UPDATE 7/11/04: Alert reader Betsy Hall emailed me that this animal is a bongo,
Click the back button (or click HERE) to return to the tale.
Or HERE to go to Day 13 pics
(Yep, skipping another day without pics)

TazGirl pretended to feed the fake horse

We liked this vulture because the announcer said "Oh oh! Look lively".....

(Doesn't Avatar look TOO cool in his sunglasses?)

(I just wish they didn't point their butts at you - it's embarrassing!)
*grin and a blush*

They can do it easier than I can spell it.....

(among other things)

From the tigers, both Bengal

Can you identify this animal, which looks like a deer with striped pajamas?
All we caught about it is that it's from Africa
and that she thought it was from Central Africa. According to my encyclopedia,
the bongo lives in the mountains of central Africa from Kenya to Sierra Leone.
GOOD EYE, BETSY!!
Since both sexes have long, spiraling horns, this must be a baby.....)
